Introduction to Metal Clay- 6 week series

Introduction to Metal Clay Intensive is a six week deep dive into the foundations of metal clay.  Students will learn to prepare, roll, mold, cut, and sculpt metal clay.  Students will explore making and using molds, as well as adding bails, gems, clay bezels, and layered mixed metals to their creations. Students will gain confidence with finishing techniques such as  how to polish their pieces to their desired finish.  Students will have time to create several more advance peices compared to the stand alone 1 day Introduciton class. Participants will also have free access to open studio times for the duration of the six week class series. Each student will receive 20 grams of copper, bronze, and/or white bronze metal clay to work with each class. Pieces will be ready for pick up (or mailed with a small fee) within two weeks of your last class.

Classes are capped at 8 students. Cost is $380. Classes will be held in the Terra Creative Collective studio in Northside.  

Students may choose to take either Intro to Metal Clay 1 Day Workshop or Metal Clay 6 Week Series before registering for Intermediate Metal Clay Workshops at Terra.
